Hudson, founded by Quakers....

Quakers are Christian, yet you won't find a crucifix at a Quaker Meeting House.

Quakers believe that it's not about how Christ DIED, but how he LIVED, and most of what Christ talked about was peace and forgiveness.

At a recent Quaker Meeting in Manhattan, someone stood up and said,

"Ask a child how long they hold a grudge.
Ask a child how long they stay angry at someone.
Ask them quickly, though, before we teach them otherwise...."

That gave me an idea for today's post.

This Easter, forgive someone in your life.

Just try it.

Maybe an old friend, an ex, a family member, maybe the two of you had a falling out years ago. Forgive them, forgive yourself, and let it go.

Call them up, or send an email, and say something like,

"Listen, it doesn't really matter. I don't remember or care. Let's just start with a clean slate. I'm sorry. I miss not having you in my life. Let's be friends again."

And maybe not everything will get resolved, but open up a little bit more, and see what happens.

You never know...

Happy Easter.

...thanks to Todd for the pic.
