Forget Flag Day, we're NOT doing it!

The GayHudson.com Parade Sub-Committee made the decision for me.

We're NOT marching in Flag Day.

After talks and discussions, the reason, honestly? Fear.

....sigh...that's it folks.

It's not so much that anything will happen on Flag Day, but there is fear that a week or two later, something will happen, someone will get hurt.

Maybe it's too soon. Maybe I had too much enthusiasm. But, when it boils down to it, there's a real fear of being gay-bashed in this town. I feel it more in Hudson than in the twenty years I've been in Manhattan.

The weather has been getting warmer, and people are out in the street yelling at each other more, starting fights.

Is it worth it?

Well, you tell me what you think...

I apologize for letting anyone down.

No let down - remember saftey first! Hudson as gay as it has become we still have a long way to go, diversity as wonderful as it sounds is still not in the immediate future.
Gay bashing is easy to those who fear there own sexuality.

I think you made the right choice. Originally, I had thought if gayhudson did anything that a car with banners would be the best for the first year. That way everyon that can't read would still be cheering!

DAMN! and I had my whole outfit layed out!

Pilled fuchsia cotton-lycra capris, a 4X tie-dye t-shirt ...
I'd even borrowed a 6 month old child as a prop to hold and scream at while dragging on my American Spirits!

How about meeting at the Finnish Line on Sat. instead?
We can see how many guys can be crammed into the miniscule steam capsule. ... Bring baby oil!

It'd have been fine, you gotta do it last year. Gay bashing will happen with or without a parade. But if there's a gay car in the parade then maybe the 10-year-old closetted fags who r stuck in Hudson can aspire to something better.

It looked like "Flag Day" is the day hererosexuals get lucky in Hudson, judging by the display of new fresh lycra stretched over the bulging bodices of Columbia County.

And the amount of public drunkenness and police action.

Did any homosexuals get lucky Saturday night? Did Diego find true love in a bathroom stall during the fireworks?

That flag has 48 stars.

Which is about the last time anyone could march with pride in this country.
