CONTINUUM all night long

from CONTINUUM

People send me stuff:

Crack whore stories, a list of sex offenders in my neighborhood, photos of middle-aged men in girdles.

It passes the time.

Every now and then, I receive information about events in Hudson. Go figure.

The above photo is from the the show, CONTINUUM. It's a continuation of The Post Card Show from the Pocketbook Factory. Eleven artists show more of their work as they beg you to answer the question "Is bigger better?"

(that's just too easy....I'm going to leave that one for Agnes or Rose Marie...)

The show opens
Saturday, November 17 from 5-7 and runs until Saturday, January 26
@
The Gallery
209 Warren Street
Exhibiting artists are Cheryl Lickona (painting), Christine Guarino (abstract painting), Karen Hummel (mixed media and photography), Laura Cannamela (Japan-themed collage), Lizbeth Shelly (painting), Fern Apfel (collage), Patricia Nolan (photography), Silvio De La Cruz (Colombian painter and sculptor), Patrick Harbron (photography), Giovanni di Mola (photography) and Nancy Winegard (batik). The larger works of CONTINUUM are also for sale at various prices.

(Trixie's going on Saturday. She was in "Fashion Bug" looking for a new getup.)

Saturday night, it looks like it's time to descend on Jason's Upstairs.

No cover, and it's DJ Gio, so you know the music will be good, and dance-able, plus, he's cute. (He was the DJ at the Halloween Party at Red Dot), so we should go....make a night of it.

By the way, here's a statue of Jason. Well, it's the 'Jason and the Golden Fleece' Jason...

Can you remember all that?

Saturday 5-7, The Gallery.

Then Saturday night, it's Upstairs Bar at Jason's - DJ Gio - cute.

Like, what else are you doing in Hudson on a Saturday night?

Something like this?

blah blah blah blah blah art Saturday night zzzzzzzzz.....

Help us out here Trixie. The boy in the black & white photos with the tattoos? name? address? phone number? social security number?

You realize that there's a fee for that information?

Plus, if I did have it, do you think I'm going to give it to YOU?!

It's every girl for herself in this town, Babydoll.

There's some euros on the nightstand.

Trixie said...

I LOVE euros! So much better than this lousy dollar!

I'll even take Canadian dollars!

You know hon, the dollar is so weak we may have to take this business back to the barter system... I remember what a girl would do for some silk stockings during the war years!

Times have changed; what I wouldnt do now for a pack of KOOLs and a Win-For-Life ticket...

OK, well... no phone number. How about a full-frontal photograph then?

Thanks for the email, Aggie, but I meant a full-frontal photo of the boy in the photo, not you...

Bigger IS better.

SuperWalMart IS better than WalMart.

When will Greenport open a SuperDuperWalmart?

We can only wait...

How about a "WalMart of the Americas?" Indoor shopping for days. The parking lot could be in Stockport, and the actual store could stretch from Ghent to Spencertown. Chatham could be the food court.

Why can't Hudson be the Food Court? We already have Mexican Radio.

That's a cute idea... lots of fast food, a glass roof down Warren Street, a bunch of fiberglass picnic tables and some artificial plants, and a river of frozen margaritas... a mariachi band!

"La Ciudad del Río del Hudson"

When is "DJ Gio" going to become "Hudson's Famous Shirtless DJ Gio"?

When is he going to become "Hudson's famous naked DJ" is more like it.
