Washington Hose to Haunted House?

On the front page of the Register-Star today there was an article on an idea about turning the Washington Hose Fire House to a haunted house for Halloween.
Now...I was only able to attend about fifteen minutes of the Arts and Entertainment Committee meeting last night, when the idea was introduced.
The idea came up and the committee of common council members considered it, thoughtfully.
Whether or not it actually happens, I don't know, but I saw it was very easy for someone, who had an idea, to approach the committee. And, the committee was very open to it.
I don't understand why people complain so much. If you have an idea, just go to a meeting, and bring it to a committee.
It may or may not happen, but at least you try. The government is yours, if you choose to be a part of it.
