The Opera House vs. The Whorehouse - Saturday, Oct 4th!

Saturday night, October 4th, the Hudson Opera House presents Percussia
contemporary chamber music ensemble of harp and percussion, October 4 at 8:00 p.m.

Now, I called the Opera House, and I was like, "Listen....I told you that I was doing a Chamber Music ensemble with harp and percussion at the next Trixie's Whorehouse party and how DARE YOU schedule the same thing on MY night in this town!!"

The nerve of some people.

Opera House or Whorehouse this Saturday? You decide.

Will they be wearing uniforms at the Opera House party?

Is there going to be a DJ?

Are you going to have gogo dancers, Mr. Opera-House-People?

Mr. La-Di-Dah?

Are you going to play Madonna?

Yeah, I didn't think so....

My recommendation...you go to the Opera House, show your face, pretend that you're all cultural and sophisticated and eat those finger cheese sandwiches without the crusts or whatever they got going on there.

(Air kiss, "Oh, that's so LOVELY, why yes, we re-modeled our kitchen in granite as well.").

When you're done with all that, walk up the block to Trixie's Whorehouse where you can get all drunk and wasted and wake up the next morning, crusty, in a stranger's bed, in a puddle of urine.

....and you thank GOD it's at least your OWN urine.

Listen Opera House People,
"Don't fuck with me, I've been to the rodeo!"

Bear Night in Albany on Saturday!!

Bear Night in Albany this Weekend!
Don't shower.
Don't shave.
Get some Kennedy Fried Chicken.
Throw some Little Debbie snack cakes in your purse and drive up to Albany this Saturday!
It's Bear Weekend in Albany - and "Trixielocks" will be on the prowl - promoting Trixie's Whorehouse to a new market!
Yes, I will be Hudson's ambassador to gay Albany this weekend, a living symbol of our fine little town.

Next Party - Saturday, Oct 4th - UNIFORMS!

Hi --

Here's some more photos from the LAST Trixie's Whorehouse Party.....

There's a rumor that Trixie Tshirts MIGHT be available at October's Party. That's only a rumor!

(That means, I placed the order, and IF the Tshirts come in before the party, like the guy said they would, then we're OK. Otherwise, it was only a rumor.)

Jason's Upstairs Bar
521 Warren Street
The Hud
$10 cover
gogo dancers and $50 prize for best uniform

If you wanna save $5, they get to LICK and get a reduced admission card. Yes, they are re-usable. Just use the same damn one.

Don't give the doorman a hard time, OK? I'll be wearing my shit-kicking boots.

Got it?

NO ONE....and I mean NO ONE....gets between Trixie and her cash!!!

WHO is this guy? And why is he in all my photos?

Once again, I'm having a wonderful time at my own party....

Of Course, the Hot Dog Eating Champ is ALSO an Artist!

Like I've said, it seems that everyone in this town is an artist.

Or, they are something SLASH artist.

You think I'm making this up, right?

No. I'm not that creative.

If you're in Catskill this evening, then stop by Terenchin Fine Art, Saturday, Sept. 20 6-8pm where my dear, close MARRIED friend, Andrew Amelinckx and artist Kara Thurmond are having an art opening.

(There might be free alcohol if you need another reason to go.)

And a big thank you for the person who let me know, that yes, there is at least ONE good Jewish accountant in Hudson!

THANK GOD! Not EVERYONE'S a fucking artist!

There's hope for this town, yet.

"Sliding Scale" is SO lesbian....

**Sunday Night Sept.21st, 2008**

At Doubles II29 Church St., Catskill

5 pm Doors open:
· Mingle
· Free wii games
· snacks/birthday cake
· Full bar

7 pm Concert

Nedra Johnson
is a singer/songwriter multi-instrumentalist born & living in New York City.
Her unique style of guitar playing is unmistakably informed by her many years
as a professional bassist and keeps her live solo acoustic performances more
on an R&B tip then what one might expect of a "girl with a guitar."

Only $10-15 sliding scale

What is a GAY community? Do we even know? Can anyone define it?

What if you asked, "What's a 'heterosexual' community?" What does it mean?

Exactly. No one has a clue.

The gay community here in the Hudson Valley has at least one thing in common. We want to have sex with people of the same sex.

The issues of race, gender and class still apply.

For instance, there's a performer at Doubles this weekend. She comes highly recommended, I'm sure it's going to be a good show.

But, I noticed, that there's a "sliding scale", which means, pay what you can.

How nice.

You don't see "Sliding Scale" on gay male events.

The Black Party had no sliding scale, at $125 a ticket. That did not include drinks, hotel, airfare, or the leather chaps.
I DARE you to wear leather chaps to the Opera House benefit....they said, "surprise us." :)

And, there's no SLIDING SCALE on the Hudson Opera House tickets of $175 this weekend, either.

Well, I shouldn't say that....

There IS a sliding scale, but $175 is the bottom of the slide. You could pay more if you'd like.

Not that the Opera House benefit is a gay event. Not at all....but I'm sure that there MIGHT be ONE, maybe TWO gay men involved? Maybe.

It's just a guess.

At the Trixie's Whorehouse parties, (the next one is Saturday, Oct 4th. UNIFORMS!) I offer $5 off the door. But, you have to go and pick up the Reduced Admission card at LICK.

Which is my way of saying, I understand that not everyone makes the same amount of money, but Trixie has NO tolerance for LAZINESS!

If you want to save five dollars, then walk your ass down to LICK and pick up the card. No excuses.

If you can't do that, then yes, you deserve to pay $5 more at the door.

That's MY sliding scale.

Plus, I see how much money people spend in Hudson on re-modeling their kitchens.

No sympathy.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Rupe

Happy Birthday, Dan Rupe!

Dan Rupe's birthday celebration this weekend coincided with his new opening at Carrie Haddad's Gallery.

Visit the gallery, or click here, or do both.

Happy Birthday, Dan! Thanks for painting our city of Hudson! Here's to a life of love, health, and happiness!

Everyone's an ARTIST in this damn town!

Everyone in this town is an artist!

I wish there were more accountants in Hudson - good, Jewish, accountants!

Guys who can do your taxes, reconcile your checkbook, and are still able to save up enough money for a condo in Lauderdale for the wintertime.

Keep dreaming, Trixie.

I've been trying to bring some good, solid, Long Island values to upstate New York for so long now (same state, light years away...). But, I'm reminded, this is Hudson, where EVERYONE is making some artsy, fartsy, blah, blah, blah...and I hear,

"You can't possibly understand the meaning of it Trixie, you're not an artist...."

Yeah, whatever.

Show me a man that can save me money on my taxes! Now, THAT'S a guy I'll hold onto!

Tax deductions are so fucking hot.

Artists? Feh! Dime a dozen.

Hey --

This weekend, two great gallery openings on Saturday night.

Disco Abel's at John Davis and Dan Rupe at Carrie Haddad.

You have to go to both.

I don't even know when....

I'll look it up or something....

Just dance in your underwear!

Hi Folks,

A big thank you to the BING BAMBOO ROOM BURLESQUE for a fabulous show on Saturday night!!

It was a fun night, for all who came out in spite of the hurricane.

I have more photos I'm going to post tonight, but there was one performer, Kyle, who came out in a Sumo-wrestler costume and danced to "Bootylicious".

Now...Kyle may not have a "stripper's" body, by our society's standard definitions...

But, she did it anyway, and had a BLAST! She brought her positive energy and a lot of fun to the party. Thank you!

I loved her.

She reminded me that you have to focus on the positive people in life - because there are PLENTY of negative people (especially in this town) but you can't let them get you down.

You just have to keep going. Keep trying.

And dance around in your underwear, singing "Bootylicious", and don't worry what other people say or think.

Life is a party.

Love ya,

BURLESQUE on Saturday night!!!

Hey Folks,

Don't forget the BURLESQUE show on Saturday.

Now, Bing Bamboo Room is different than the Charmed and Dangerous gals.

There's dancing girls (and boys), but also a magician, a comedian, some side show entertainment.

Like, if Coney Island was in upstate New York.

Anyway, just go. What the fuck else are you doing? And you can stumble home drunk.

If you want $5 Reduced on the PARTY - not the show - but the PARTY, then get over to LICK Hudson and pick up a Reduced Admission card.

'cause there ain't no guestlist.

So, don't ask.

Got it?
